Shi Jinglin
Shi Jinglin (; born 3 January 1993) is a Chinese competitive swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke events. She has produced a tally of five medals, two golds and three bronze, in major international competition, spanning the Olympic Games, Asian Games, and World Championships. At the 2014 Asian Games, Shi broke a meet record to claim the gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke. Career Shi made her first Chinese team at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, where she achieved two medals, a gold and a bronze, in swimming. is a Japanese competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke events. She won the gold medal in the 200 meter breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Career She represented her nation Japan, as a 19-year-old junior, at the 2008 Summer Olympics and has won a career total of four medals in a major international competition, spanning two editions of the Summer Universiade (2007 and 2009), the Short Course Worlds, and the Pan Pacific Championships. is a Japanese competitive swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke. She competed in the 2012 London Olympics at the age of 15 for the 200m Women's Breaststroke event. She again competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. Her swimming coach is Ryuji Omi. She is the daughter of Keiji and Emiko Watanabe. Watanabe won the silver medal in the 200m medley at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay. A medley relay consists of four swimmers who will each swim a different stroke, ordered as backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle.
