Sheka Sorie Fofanah (born 2 January 1998) is a Sierra Leonean international association football, footballer who plays as a forward for Diyala and the Sierra Leone national team. Club career Having started his career with Sierra Leone National Premier League side Freetown City, Fofanah signed for Danish 1st Division side Vejle Boldklub in 2016, after trialing with Swedish champions IFK Norrköping. He made his debut in a 3–1 Danish Cup victory against Tjæreborg IF. He signed for Czech First League side Jablonec in 2017, joining up with the junior team. However, he signed for Czech second division side Frýdek-Místek only months later. International career Fofanah made his international debut in a 1–1 draw with Malawi. Koidu Town (or Sefadu) is the capital and largest city of the diamond-rich Kono District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. 2017 Africa Cup Of Nations Qualification Group I
Group I of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament was one of the thirteen groups to decide the teams which qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals tournament. The group consisted of three teams: Ivory Coast, Sudan, and Sierra Leone. The hosts of the final tournament, Gabon national football team, Gabon, had also been drawn into this group and played games against the other three teams in the group; however, these matches were only considered as friendlies and not counted for the standings. The teams played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format, between June 2015 and September 2016. Ivory Coast, the group winners, qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
