Sheila Ribeiro (born March 25, 1973) is an artist considered to be post-convergent, working in an interdependent, multivectorial and extradisciplinary networked media ecosystem, expressed in an evaporated and remixed materiality. Involved with digital and body arts, as well as conceptual fashion, technology and communication and cultural studies. Currently lives between Salvador, Montreal and Rome. She was married to the anthropologist Massimo Canevacci. Career Ribeiro is known for her fragmented, fantastical work, treating contemporary power dynamics, migration codes, digital cognition and pop fashion aesthetics, as well as for her multipurpose extra-disciplinary way of working through installations, performances, films, fashion shoots, dance pieces on stage, on camera, on the street. Wagner Schwartz
Wagner Miranda Schwartz (Rio de Janeiro, Volta Redonda, 2 December 1972) is a Brazilian performer, choreographer and writer. Biography He was born in Volta Redonda, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. He began his studies of popular music and drama in the public schools of Volta Redonda. Later, at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Wagner studied modernist literature and art, which influences his approach to choreography, receiving the award of the Art Foundation Itau Cultural in 2000–2001, 2003–2004, 2009–2010, 2014. Massimo Canevacci
Massimo Canevacci (born 1942) is an Italian people, Italian academic, ethnography, ethnographer and critical thinker. He is known for his works about contemporary metropolis, 'native' cultures and digital arts. Canevacci is currently based on the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and he has been living in São Paulo since 2008. He is married to the artist Sheila Ribeiro. The majority of Canevacci's works are published in Italian and Portuguese. Before moving to Brazil, Canevacci was a Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome.
