Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium ( bn, শেখ হাসিনা আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট স্টেডিয়াম) or The Boat is an under-construction cricket stadium located in Sector-1 of multi-billion dollar Purbachal New Town on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The stadium is a joint venture of National Sports Council and Bangladesh Cricket Board. Planned to open in 2026, the stadium will serve as the headquarter of Bangladesh Cricket Board, home to Bangladesh national cricket team and Dhaka franchise of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Overview SHICS will be developed as a multi-function area. After the inauguration of the stadium, Bangladesh Cricket Board will shift its headquarter to this venue from Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Purbachal Expressway
Purbachal Expressway is a , eight-lane-wide avenue expressway in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This expressway connects Purbachal to eastern Dhaka. History In 2005, a proposal involving development for project of Purbachal was passed. In that proposal an eight-lane expressway was mentioned. But RAJUK started the expressway project with a four-lane road in 2013 because of fund shortage. RAJUK built the link road with Tk 300 crore. In 2015 Detailed Area Plan passed by ECNEC. In the new plan a road with 100-foot canal on the both side of road was added. For this road project a budget of Tk 5,287 crore was mentioned. After completing the existing project, To expanding the road into 8-lane expressway, government had to reshaped the project in November 2018. The budget for the project was revised to Tk 10,330 crore. For the revision and canal the 300 feet road will be built as 235 feet. Turag River
Turag River ( bn, তুরাগ নদী; ) is the upper tributary of the Buriganga, a major river in Bangladesh. The Turag originates from the Bangshi River, the latter an important ''tributary'' of the Dhaleshwari River, flows through Gazipur and joins the Buriganga at Mirpur in Dhaka District. It is navigable by boat all year round. Turag suffers from infilling along its banks, which restricts its flow. It also suffers from acute water pollution. The Legacy Tower is an under-construction supertall skyscraper in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The skyscraper is a part of Bangabandhu tri-tower: alongside 71-floors Liberation Tower and 52-floors Language Tower and the centerpiece of US$12 billion central business district development project in Purbachal. The 111-floors tower will rise tall. The construction of the tri-towers officially commenced on 10 September 2020. The design, created by Heerim Architects and Planners of South Korea incorporates many unique structural and aesthetic features such as solar glass and automatic waste-management systems.
