Anatoly Shariy
Anatoly Anatoliyevich ShariyIn the names of his internet resources Anatoly Shariy spells his name as "Sharij" ( uk, Анатолій Анатолійович Шарій, russian: Анато́лий Анато́льевич Шари́й; born 20 August 1978) is a Ukrainian journalist, videoblogger and politician. Following his investigative work, earlier in his career, Shariy received death threats. In 2012 he received asylum in the European Union, asserting prosecution by Ukrainian law enforcement bodies related to his journalism. Shariy currently lives in Spain. In June 2019, he launched the right wing euroskeptic Party of Shariy, which took part in the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election, winning 2.23% of the vote. During the 2020 local elections, the party candidates entered several city and oblast councils. During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the party was banned because of alleged ties with Russia.

Andrey Shary
Andrey Shary (russian: Андре́й Ша́рый; born June 17, 1965) is a Russian journalist, historical author and media manager. He studied journalism at the State Institute of International Relations in Moscow, graduating in 1987. Shary worked for the Soviet daily Pravda in 1987–1990, then moving to the weekly Rossiya (1990–1994). Since 1992 he collaborates with Radio Svoboda, the Russian Service of U.S. granted Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Inc. In 1994-1996 he worked as a field-reporter and commentator in former Yugoslavia, based in Zagreb. Since 1996 he is a senior broadcaster, since 2016 Director for Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty's Russian Service and an author of 15 books on the Yugoslav wars, history of Balkans, Central Europe, modern popular culture, and travel journals. He has been a professor at the University of Massachusetts, Clark University, and the University of Oklahoma.
