Shane O'Neill (Limerick Hurler)
Shane O'Neill (born 1974) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who previously was the manager of the Galway senior hurling team. As a player he lined out with Limerick Senior Championship club Na Piarsaigh and the Limerick senior hurling team. Playing career Na Piarsaigh O'Neill joined the Na Piarsaigh club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels, enjoying much championship success in the minor and under-21 grades. On 25 November 1990, O'Neill was just 16-years-old when he was a member of the extended panel of the Na Piarsaigh junior team that qualified to play Dromcollogher/Broadford in the Limerick Junior Championship final. He ended the game with a winners' medal following the 2-10 to 2-00 victory. On 3 October 1993, O'Neill was at full-forward when Na Piarsaigh faced Blackrock in the Limerick Intermediate Championship final. Caherdavin () is a northern suburban district of Limerick city in the mid-west of Ireland. It had a population in 2002 of 6,613. Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. In 2003, they narrowly missed out on winning three county titles in a row after losing out to Patrickswell GAA, Patrickswell in the final. Pat Heffernan
Pat Heffernan (born 2 January 1970 in Kilfinane, County Limerick, Ireland) is an Irish hurling selector and former player. He is a former selector with the Limerick senior hurling team. He is currently manager of Mullinahone Senior Hurling team and teaches Geography at the Patrician Academy Mallow Secondary School. An effective forward, Heffernan enjoyed a reasonably successful playing career at club level with Blackrock, UCC and Mallow and at inter-county level with Limerick. He was a key member of the latter team during the 1990s and collected one Munster title. In retirement from playing Heffernan has become involved in team management. He gained early experience at club level with Kilmallock, Murroe-Boher, Bride Rovers and with his own Blackrock club. The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship of 1995 (known for the first time for sponsorship reasons as the Guinness Hurling Championship 1995) was the 109th staging of Ireland's premier hurling knock-out competition. The 1993 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 30th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 16 April 1993 and ended on 3 October 1993. Waterford entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Limerick in the first round of the Munster Championship. On 3 October 1993, Galway won the championship following a 2-09 to 3-03 defeat of Kilkenny in a replay of the All-Ireland final.
