Shamsher Singh (cricketer, Born 1972)
Shamsher Singh (16 October 1972 – 21 March 2013) was an Indian first-class cricketer who represented Rajasthan. Life and career Born on 16 October 1972 at Hisar, Singh moved to Rajasthan during his childhood. He appeared in 33 first-class and 26 List A matches for Rajasthan as a right-arm medium fast bowler. He made his first-class debut in 1992 at the age of 20. He went on to take 55 first-class wickets at an average of 35.45 and 35 List A wickets at 22.65. His last first-class appearance came in January 2002 at the age of 29. After his playing career, Singh became a selector for the Rajasthan Cricket Association. He worked as the team manager of Rajasthan Royals during 2008 Indian Premier League and also as the manager of Central Zone. He started a cricket academy in Jaipur and is said to have convinced RCA to appoint Meyrick Pringle as the fast bowling coach of Rajasthan in 2011 after which Rajasthan successfully defended their Ranji title. Hisar (city)
Hisar is a city, municipal corporation and administrative headquarters of Hisar district of Hisar division in the state of Haryana in northwestern India. It is located 161.2 km (100.16 mi) to the west of New Delhi, India's capital, and has been identified as a counter-magnet city for the National Capital Region to develop as an alternative centre of growth to Delhi. Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals (often abbreviated as RR) are a franchise cricket team based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded in 2008 as one of the initial eight IPL franchises, the team is based at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Heart Attack
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, a cold sweat or feeling tired. About 30% of people have atypical symptoms. Meyrick Pringle
Meyrick Wayne Pringle (born 22 June 1966) is a former South African cricketer who played in four Tests and seventeen One Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1992 to 1995. Career Pringle attended and played for Kingswood College at school level. After matriculating in 1984 Pringle started playing provincial cricket for a number of teams, including Orange Free State (1985–1986), Sussex (1987–1998), Eastern Province (1988–1989), Western Province (1990–1998) and Eastern Province again (1998–2002). Pringle made his ODI debut for South Africa against Australia at the 1992 Cricket World Cup, and at the same tournament had the best bowling performance of his career, taking four wickets for eleven runs against the West indies, a performance which earned him the man of the match award. 2008 Indian Premier League
The 2008 Indian Premier League season was the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, established by the BCCI in 2007. The season commenced on 18 April 2008 with the final match was held on 1 June 2008. The competition started with a double round robin league stage, in which each of the 8 teams played a home match and an away match against every other team. These matches were followed by two semi-finals and a final. The tagline was, ''Tu laga dum!(Put all your power!).'' In a match which went down to the last ball, Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final to win the title, with Yusuf Pathan named the player of the match in the Finals and Shane Watson adjudged the player of the tournament.
