Shambhala (2024 Film)
''SHAMBHALA'' is a 2024 drama film directed by Min Bahadur Bham of a screenplay co-written with Abinash Bikram Shah. The film starring Thinley Lhamo, Tenzin Dalha and Sonam Topden, depicts the life of newly married Pema, living in a Himalayan polyandrous village in Nepal. After the disappearance of her first husband, Tashi, she embarks on a journey into the wilderness to find him, evolving into a quest of self-discovery and liberation. The international co-production between Nepal, France, Norway, Hong Kong, China, Turkey, Taiwan, USA, and Qatar is selected in the Competition at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Bear with its first screening on 23 February at Berlinale Palast. Min Bahadur Bham
Min Bahadur Bham is a Nepalese film director. He has won various awards including the National Film Award for Best Writer, the Norwegian Sorfond Award at the Cannes Film Festival, and the Fedeora Award at the Venice Film Festival. 77th Locarno Film Festival
The 77th Locarno Film Festival was held from 7 August to 17 August 2024. '' The Crowd'' by King Vidor, accompanied by live music from the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, screened the night before the festival began, and '' The Flood'' by Gianluca Jodice opened the festival. Berlin International Film Festival
The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the " Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France.
