Shadow Lake is a lake in the city of Kawartha Lakes in Central Ontario, Central Ontario, Canada. With an area of and an elevation of , it is the second lake upstream of the mouth of the Gull River (Balsam Lake), Gull River, and is in the Lake Ontario drainage basin. Geography Shadow Lake has an area of and lies at an elevation of . The maximum depth of the lake is . The primary inflow is the Gull River, at the northwest and arriving from the community of Norland, Ontario, Norland, which accounts for 98% of the inflow into the lake. There are three unnamed secondary inflows. Musselman Lake, Ontario
Musselman's Lake is a community settled adjacent to a kettle lake of the same name in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. It is located about 6 km north-northwest of urban Stouffville, and is part of the Greater Toronto Area. It is accessible from Highway 48, which links Toronto to Beaverton, and from Highway 404, a limited-access 400-Series Highway west of Musselman's Lake via Aurora Road or Bloomington Road. Ontario Highway 407 is located about south on Ninth Line in Markham. The main roads in the community are Ninth Line on the west side of the lake, and Lakeshore Road on the east. The area around the lake is dotted with a number of smaller kettle lakes, including Island Lake, Shadow Lake, Staley Lake and Windsor Lake. Shadow Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,262 at the 2010 census. Geography Shadow Lake is located in southwestern King County at (47.401561, -122.069418). It is bordered to the southeast by the city of Maple Valley, to the south by the city of Covington, and to the north by the Maple Heights-Lake Desire CDP. SE Petrovitsky Road forms the northeast border of the community. Shadow Lake is southeast of downtown Seattle and northeast of Tacoma. Shadow Lake Formation
The Shadow Lake formation is a geological unit that crops out in Southern Ontario, Canada and northern Pennsylvania, United States. The shaly sections act as a caprock to petroleum reservoirs. Description The oldest Paleozoic strata in the north Lake Simcoe area consist of the mainly siliciclastic sediments of the Shadow Lake Formation. These strata lie unconformably and sharply on the Precambrian Grenville basement, however, this basal contact is rarely exposed. The Shadow Lake Formation is poorly exposed, typically occurring in small isolated outcrops along a low escarpment capped by the more resistant carbonate beds of the overlying Gull River Formation.
