Seyhan
Seyhan is a district-municipality in the Adana Province of Turkey, core of the Adana urban area. Seyhan is home to 35 percent of the residents of Adana Province and almost half of the residents of the city of Adana. It is the fifth most populous metropolitan district in Turkey. Seyhan is the first settlement area of Adana and currently the administrative, business and cultural center of the city. It includes the historical neighborhood of Tepebağ, and the landmarks such as Büyüksaat, Ulu Camii, Ramazanoğlu Hall and Sabancı Merkez Camii. Adana Center for Arts and Culture, Sabancı Cultural Center, Seyhan Cultural Center and Metropolitan Theatre are also located in the district. The district gets its name from the river that forms the east border. Seyhan Dam
The Seyhan Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Seyhan River north of Adana, Turkey The dam was constructed in the 1950s as the first in a series of hydroelectric projects funded by the World Bank. The project was authorized by Prime Minister Adnan Menderes. The project manager was Süleyman Demirel, who later became prime minister and the ninth president of Turkey. The Seyhan River (formerly written ''Seihan'', ''Sihun''; ancient name: grc, Σάρος, ''Sáros''), alternatively known as ''Sarus'' (or in Turkish as ''Sarus Su''),John Garstang and O.R. Gurney is the longest river of Cilicia and the longest of Turkey that flows into the Mediterranean Sea. Seyhan Erözçelik
Seyhan Erözçelik (13 March 1962 – 24 August 2011) was a Turkish poet. Biography He was born in 1962 in Bartın, Turkey, a town in the Black Sea region. He studied psychology at Boğazici University and Oriental languages at Istanbul University. In 1986, he co-founded the Şiir Atı publishing house, which published over forty titles in the 1980s. He was a member of the Turkish PEN Center and Writer's Syndicate of Turkey. His first poem, "Düştanbul" (Dreamstanbul), was published in 1982 and followed by a number of collections. He had also written poems in the Bartin dialect and in other Turkic languages, and had brought a modern approach to the classical Ottoman rhyme, aruz, in his book ''Kara Yazılı Meşkler'' (Tunes Written on the Snow, 2003). Seyhan Gündüz (born September 15, 1980) is a Turkish former women's football forward, who last played in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Zeytinburnuspor in Istanbul with jersey number 11. Seyhan Kurt is a French-Turkish poet, writer, anthropologist and sociologist. Biography He was born in the commune of Bourgoin-Jallieu in Grenoble, France. He studied at the École de Jean Jaurès in Lyon. He studied painting in France and dramaturgy and art history in Izmir.
