Setia Perdana FC
Setia Perdana Football Club is a professional football club in Brunei, playing in the Brunei Super League. The club is named after the village of Setia 'A' in Sungai Kebun, Kampong Ayer. History Establishment Setia Perdana FC was founded in 2005 by Haji Piut bin Mahrup, who recruited youths from Kampong Setia 'A'. From 2005 to 2009, the team played in the Brunei-Muara District League for 4 years. Initially, this squad was composed of family members, near relatives like cousins, and even locals. They competed at the lower district levels for several years until when the newly formed National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam organised a competition to determine the clubs which would contest a new Brunei football top flight in 2011. Brunei Super League
The Brunei Super League (''Liga Super Brunei'' in Malay) is a Bruneian professional league for association football. It is at the top flight of the Bruneian football league system and it is managed by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD). The clubs participating in this top flight league need to pass a set of requirements and verification process, particularly related to professionalism and infrastructure feasibility. The championship winner will receive B$14,000 ($10,000 USD) as prize money, as well as being eligible for the AFC Cup as Brunei's representative, provided that the club conforms to AFC's Club Licence criteria. DST Group Brunei Premier League ( ms, DST GROUP LIGA PERDANA BRUNEI) was the top-tier football league of Brunei until 2012, when it became the second tier of the football pyramid of Brunei with the creation of the Brunei Super League by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam. Rahimni Pundut
Haji Rahimni bin Haji Pundut (born 5 January 1987) is a Bruneian footballer who plays for Setia Perdana FC in the Brunei Super League as a striker. Due to a typing error, his patronym is mistakenly referred to as Pundat. Career Rahimni previously played for professional club Brunei DPMM FC in the 2009 S.League season, DPMM's first and eventful season in Singapore after withdrawing from the Malaysia Super League. He only saw one minute of playing time, against Sengkang Punggol on 6 July. He was on the bench for the final of the 2009 Singapore League Cup, picking up a winner's medal as DPMM won the game 4–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in extra time. Kasuka Football Club () is a football club from Brunei, that plays in the Brunei Super League. History Early days Due to the demand from the residents of Kampong Sungai Kedayan to play in the district league, Kasuka FC was founded in 1993. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the club enjoyed a great deal of success. For the 1997–98 season, they won the Brunei-Muara District League and added the Police Cup (PRG) and Mukim Berakas Cup (Perbekal) to their collection of victories. The 2018–19 Brunei Super League (also known as the DST Super League for sponsorship reasons) is the 6th season of the Brunei Super League, the top Bruneian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. 2023 Brunei Super League
The 2023 Brunei Super League is the ninth season of the Brunei Super League, the top league in Brunei for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The league began on 3 March and will conclude in February 2024, with 16 teams playing home and away. On 15 September 2023, the league was announced to have a premature conclusion due to insufficient funds as announced by FABD in a press release.
