Sergei Kalinin (sport Shooter)
Sergei Alekseyevich Kalinin (russian: Сергей Алексеевич Калинин, 23 December 1926 – 17 October 1997) was a Soviet sports shooter. He competed at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics in the individual trap event and finished in 3rd and 22nd place, respectively. Biography Kalinin was born to a hunter and started shooting aged seven. Between 1943 and 1945 he fought in World War II, and after that started training in sports shooting. He won two world titles with the Soviet team, in 1958 and 1962. Ion Dumitrescu
Ion Dumitrescu (18 July 1925 – 1999) was a Romanian sports shooter. He competed in the individual trap event at the 1960, 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics and placed 1st, 5th, 11th and 30th, respectively.Ion Dumitrescu . sports-reference.com At the world championships he won bronze medals in team skeet in 1958 and in individual trap in 1961. Medal "For Labour Valour"
The Medal "For Labour Valour" (russian: Медаль «За трудовую доблесть») was a civilian labour award of the Soviet Union bestowed to especially deserving workers to recognise and honour dedicated and valorous labour or significant contributions in the fields of science, culture or the manufacturing industry. It was established on December 27, 1938 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. During its existence, its statute was amended three times by further decrees, first on June 19, 1943 to amend its description and ribbon, then on December 16, 1947 to amend its regulations, and finally on July 18, 1980 to confirm all previous amendments. During its existence of just over fifty years, it was bestowed to almost two million deserving citizens. The medal ceased to be awarded following the December 1991 dissolution of the Soviet Union.
