Seremban is a federal constituency in Seremban District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat The Dewan Rakyat (English: 'House of Representatives'; ) is the lower house of the bicameral Parliament, the federal legislature of Malaysia. Election Commission Of Malaysia
The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat that contested the general elections in 2013 was dissolved after series of disagreements between two main parties, Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). John Fernandez (Malaysian Politician)
John Fernandez (Tamil: ஜொஹ்ன் பெர்னாண்டஸ்) (born 9 December 1941) was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Seremban constituency in the state of Negeri Sembilan from 2008 to 2013. He was a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in the formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition coalition. He was first elected to Parliament in the 2008 election winning the seat of Seremban from the governing Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Ahead of the 2013 election, he quit the DAP, protesting the lack of Indians being fielded as party election candidates, and recontested Seremban as an independent candidate. The 12th Malaysian Parliament is the last meeting of the legislative branch of the government of Malaysia, the Parliament, comprising the directly elected lower house, the ''Dewan Rakyat'', and the appointed upper house, the ''Dewan Negara''.
