Serbian Radical Party Of The Republika Srpska
The Serbian Radical Party of Republika Srpska ( sr, Српска радикална странка Републике Српске/Srpska radikalna stranka Republike Srpske or СРС РС/SRS RS) was a Serb centre-right political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina, active in Republika Srpska. It was founded in 1992 by Nikola Poplašen, a former Serbian Democratic Party member. SRS RS has since affiliated itself with the Serbian Progressive Party, a pro-EU offshoot of the Serbian Radical Party established in 2008. 1996 Republika Srpska General Election
General elections were held for the first time in Republika Srpska on 14 September 1996. They were the first direct elections in Republika Srpska since its proclamation in 1992 and Bosnian War that ended in 1995. Previous National Assembly was created in 1991 and was made up of Serb MPs that were elected to the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament following 1990 Bosnian general election.
