Serbia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2007
Serbia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Molitva" written by Saša Milošević Mare and Vladimir Graić. The song was performed by Marija Šerifović. The Serbian national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) organised the national final ''Beovizija 2007'' in order to select the Serbian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The national final consisted of two shows: a semi-final and a final on 7 and 8 March 2007, respectively. Twenty entries competed in the semi-final where the top ten qualified to the final following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public televote. The ten qualifiers competed in the final which resulted in "Molitva" performed by Marija Šerifović as the winner following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public televote. Marija Šerifović
Marija Šerifović ( sr-cyr, Марија Шерифовић, ; born 14 November 1984) is a Serbian singer. Born in Kragujevac as the daughter of Verica Šerifović, she rose to prominence in 2003 with her debut album ''Naj, Najbolja''. Šerifović is arguably best known for representing Serbia and winning at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with "Molitva". To date, she has released five studio albums and several standalone singles of predominately balladic songs. Šerifović is recognized as one of the best female vocalists in Serbia. Igor Vukojević
Igor Vukojević (born 1975 in Doboj, Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian singer, musician and songwriter. Igor started playing guitar when he was 10 years old, composed his first song when he was 11 and did his first song arrangement at 14 years old. By that time he already played 3 instruments - drums, bass and guitar. Marina Tucaković
Marina Tucaković ( sr-Cyrl, Марина Туцаковић; 4 November 1953 – 19 September 2021) was a Serbian lyricist and songwriter. Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Tucaković had a degree from the Economic Faculty at the University of Belgrade. She first started writing songs at the age of 19. After the success of "Dodirni mi kolena" by the Yugoslav rock group Zana and vocalist Zana Nimani, Tucaković continued working with numerous artists in then Yugoslavia. Before she oriented towards folk music, she collaborated with Yugoslav pop, rock and new wave artists such as Oliver Mandić, Zana, Slađana Milošević and Oliver Dragojević. Betty Boop is a Serbian power pop girl band from Zrenjanin. Band history The band was formed in 2005 in Belgrade, Serbia, consisting of Marija Mandic (vocals and guitar), Anja Prošić ( drums), Nikolina "Nina" Doroškov (bass guitar) and Kristina Krspogačin (vocals and guitar), under the guidance of their song author and manager Ognjen Cvekić. Aleksa Jelić ( sr-Cyrl, Алекса Јелић; born 19 November 1976) is a Serbian singer, ballet dancer and television presenter. Life and career Jelić was born on 19 November 1976 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia. He is the son of rock musician and founder of YU Grupa, Dragi Jelić. At 17 years of age, Jelić became the youngest permanent ballet dancer at the Terazije Theater in Belgrade. Biljana "Bilja" Krstić (Serbian Cyrillic: Биљана "Биља" Крстић, Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [bǐʎana bǐːʎa kř̩ːstitɕ]; born 9 November 1955) is a Serbian singer.
