Sentimental Journey (film)
''Sentimental Journey '' is a 1946 American drama film directed by Walter Lang and starring John Payne and Maureen O'Hara. ''Sentimental Journey'' was remade in 1958 as '' The Gift of Love'', with Lauren Bacall and Robert Stack. Plot A Broadway producer Bill ( John Payne) and his actress-wife Julie ( Maureen O'Hara) are unable to have children. While strolling along the seashore, Julie finds an imaginative orphaned girl nicknamed Hitty (Connie Marshall) and decides to adopt her, a plan that Bill agrees to while distracted by dorks on his latest playscript. Shortly afterward, Julie dies of a heart attack, leaving Hitty in the care of the sullen Bill, who can't seem to connect with the girl. Guided and comforted by a ghostly vision of Julie, Hitty looks after Bill while he struggles to cope with Julie's death. Clooney sings on the album with Big Kahuna and the Copa Cat Pack, a 12-piece swing band led by musician Matt Catingub. Clooney's longtime musical director John Oddo arranged and conducted the music. Iyo Matsumoto
, married name , was a pop idol in the early '80s. She is now a Japanese TV personality, singer and actress, and is currently signed to Production No Title. Early life Matsumoto was born in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan. She attended from kindergarten through middle school and continued to Horikoshi High School a private high school in the Nakano section of Tokyo. She completed her studies at Toita Women's College also in the city. Career Matsumoto debuted in the entertainment business in 1981 when she was 15 years old, after being scouted by the agency Bond Kikaku while shopping in Shinjuku. Dubbed " Toshihiko Tahara's little sister", her singing career was launched October the same year with the single " Sentimental Journey" which was an instant hit, making it to no. 9 on the Oricon Chart.
