Ed Royce (politician)
Edward Randall Royce (born October 12, 1951) is an American politician who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from California from 1993 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Royce served as Chairman of the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2019. He previously served as a member of the California Senate from 1982 to 1993. He was reelected to his seat in 2016, having spent over $3.5 million on his campaign. On January 8, 2018, Royce announced that he would retire from Congress at the end of his term and not run for reelection in 2018. In September 2020, Royce joined the law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. He is currently registered as a foreign agent for Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry. Royce Duplessis is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the Louisiana State Senate for the 5th district. He assumed office on December 6, 2022. On November 8, 2022, Duplessis defeated Mandie Landry in a special election to fill the vacant 5th district seat. Early life and education Duplessis was born and raised in New Orleans. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the Xavier University of Louisiana and a Juris Doctor from the Howard University School of Law. Career Prior to his election to the State Senate, Duplessis served in the Louisiana House of Representatives representing the 93rd district. He assumed office in 2018 after winning a special election. Royce Frith
Royce Herbert Frith, (November 12, 1923 – March 17, 2005) was a Canadian diplomat, public servant and politician. He received a BA from the University of Toronto, an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Dipl. d’études supérieures (droit) from the University of Ottawa. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1949. An amateur actor and performer, Frith found time to act in plays, perform on the radio, and sing and play several instruments. Frith first came to prominence as a member of the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism in the 1960s. He served as a legal advisor to the Commissioner of Official Languages from 1971 until 1977 when he was appointed to the Senate of Canada by Pierre Trudeau. Royce Barry West (born September 26, 1952) is an American politician who serves as a member of the Texas Senate, representing the Dallas-based 23rd District. Early life and education West was born in Annapolis, Maryland. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington. As an undergraduate, he was initiated into the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. West then earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.
