The districts of England (also known as local authority districts or local government districts to distinguish from unofficial city districts) are a level of subnational division of England used for the purposes of local government. As the structure of local government in England is not uniform, there are currently four principal types of district-level subdivision. Chichester is a local government district in West Sussex, England. Its council is based in the city of Chichester and the district also covers a large rural area to the north. The UK Independence Party (UKIP; ) is a Eurosceptic, right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. West Sussex County Council (WSCC) is the authority that governs the non-metropolitan county of West Sussex.
