''See What You Started by Continuing'' is the ninth studio album by American rock band Collective Soul. It was released on October 2, 2015 by Vanguard Records. The album represents a return to the classic guitar-driven rock sound that the band were known for during the 1990s. Recording began in 2014, with newcomers Johnny Rabb and Jesse Triplett joining longtime members Ed Roland, Dean Roland and Will Turpin in the studio to create the band's first album since 2009. It became the number-one alternative album for the week of October 24, 2015. Four singles have been released from the album: "This," "AYTA," "Hurricane", and "Contagious." The band promoted the album through the See What You Started Tour. Collective Soul
Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia. Now based in Atlanta, the group consists of lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb, and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett. Formed in 1992, the original lineup consisted of the Roland brothers, Turpin, guitarist Ross Childress, and drummer Shane Evans. Collective Soul released their ''Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid'' album on the independent label Rising Storm Records in 1993. The band went from obscurity to popularity that year after the album's lead single " Shine" received regional radio play. The album was then re-released in 1994 by the major label Atlantic Records; thus, "Shine" became a national hit as it peaked at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock and No. 4 on the Mainstream Top 40 charts. Cheney Brannon
Cheney Brannon (born April 29, 1973) is an American musician. He is a former drummer for the rock band Collective Soul, and is the current drummer for acts such as Cheap Thrill, Riley Biederer, John Corabi and Joel Kosche. Life and career Early life and career beginnings Brannon is a self-taught drum player, beginning at age 9. At age 11 he joined his first band, Chapter One. At age 18, Brannon moved to Atlanta to engage with the music scene. Johnny Rabb (born February 29, 1972) is an American drummer, author, inventor, and teacher. Life and career As a product specialist for Roland V-DRUMS, Rabb has performed around 70 international clinic dates per year. He endorses several companies including: Mapex Drums, Remo, Audix Microphones, Prologix, Blowit Fans, Drumometer, and HansenFutz. Rabb designed a series of cymbals with the MEINL company: Drumbals and Safari cymbals are part of MEINL's Generation X line. Rabb designed a signature stick, TX7731W, for Pro-Mark drumsticks. In 2006, Rabb and Clay Parnell formed the band BioDiesel, described as "environmentally friendly Intelligent Dance Music". ''Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Tally Hall, originally released on October 24, 2005. Their previous recordings were all independently produced and distributed demos. All of the tracks on the album are finished versions of their demo tracks, with the exception of "Haiku," which is a completely new song. The album gets its name from a museum of mechanized curiosities that is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The album's cover art is also based on a number of machines located within the museum. The album was officially re-released on September 12, 2006, under the Quack! Media label. This re-release coincided with additional publicity on MTV, national distribution in all major retail stores, and various other TV appearances including ''The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson''. Joel Sefton Kosche ( ; born September 20, 1969) is an American musician. He is best known for his thirteen-year tenure as the lead guitarist of the rock band Collective Soul. He is also a solo artist, and tours with his backing band, Joel Kosche Band. His debut solo album, ''Fight Years'', was released in 2010. Life and career Kosche self-taught himself to play guitar at age 13, and later trained in classical guitar. Active in Atlanta's music scene, he co-founded the band Rhapsody, and in 1994, along with other members of Rhapsody, he co-founded the progressive rock band Jovian Storm which achieved local success with the album ''Magic Show''.
