The Secretariat of Energy ( Spanish: ''Secretaría de Energia'') is the government department in charge of production and regulation of energy in Mexico, this secretary is a member of the Executive Cabinet. The current Secretariat of Energy under Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) is Rocío Nahle García. History On December 7, 1946, the ''Secretaría de Bienes Nacionales e Inspección Administrativa'' (Secretariat of National Assets and Administrative Inspection) was created with Alfonso Caso Andrade serving as secretary. In 1958, the name was changed to ''Secretaría de Patrimonio Nacional'' (Secretariat of National Assets, SEPANAL). Mexican Executive Cabinet
The cabinet of Mexico is the Executive Cabinet ( es, Gabinete Legal) and is a part of the executive branch of the Mexican government. It consists of nineteen Secretaries of State and the Legal Counsel of the Federal Executive. In addition to the legal Executive Cabinet there are other Cabinet-level administration offices that report directly to the President of the Republic (''Gabinete Ampliado''). Officials from the legal and extended Cabinet (''Gabinete Legal y Ampliado'') are subordinate to the President. Andrés Manuel López Obrador
Andrés Manuel López Obrador (; born 13 November 1953), also known by his initials AMLO, is a Mexican politician who has been serving as the 65th president of Mexico since 1 December 2018. He previously served as Head of Government of Mexico City from 2000 to 2005. Alfonso Caso Andrade
Alfonso Caso y Andrade (February 1, 1896 in Mexico City – November 30, 1970 in Mexico City) was an archaeologist who made important contributions to pre-Columbian studies in his native Mexico. Caso believed that the systematic study of ancient Mexican civilizations was an important way to understand Mexican cultural roots. As a university student, he was part of a group of young intellectuals known as '' Los Siete Sabios de México'' ("The Seven Sages of Mexico") who founded Mexico City's "Society for Conferences and Concerts", which promoted cultural activity among the student population. One of the other Sages was Vicente Lombardo Toledano, who became Caso's brother-in-law after he married Lombardo's sister, writer María Lombardo: the couple had four children. José López Portillo
José Guillermo Abel López Portillo y Pacheco (; 16 June 1920 – 17 February 2004) was a Mexican writer, lawyer and politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) who served as the 58th president of Mexico from 1976 to 1982. López Portillo was the only official candidate in the 1976 presidential election, being the only president in recent Mexican history to win an election unopposed. José Antonio Meade Kuribreña (; born 27 February 1969) is a Mexican politician, economist, lawyer, and diplomat.
