The Secretariat for Agrarian, Land and Urban Development (Spanish: ''Secretaría de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano'', ''SEDATU'') is the Mexican cabinet agency in charge of agriculture, urban development and living space. History SEDATU was established by reforms to the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration that were promulgated on January 2, 2013. With its creation, the Secretariat of Agrarian Reform was dissolved. The cabinet of Mexico is the Executive Cabinet ( es, Gabinete Legal) and is a part of the Executive (government), executive branch of the Mexico, Mexican government. It consists of nineteen Secretary of State (Mexico), Secretaries of State and the Legal Counsel of the Federal Executive. In addition to the legal Executive Cabinet there are other Cabinet-level administration offices that report directly to the President of Mexico, President of the Republic (''Gabinete Ampliado''). The Mexican Secretariat of Agrarian Reform (Spanish: ''Secretaría de la Reforma Agraria'', ''SRA'') was a Secretariat in the cabinet of Mexico. It was created under the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration, where Article 41 corresponds to the exercise of the functions and powers expressly stated in Article 27 of the Constitution of Mexico, which establishes the right of farm workers to own the land they work on. It is the largest mortgage lender in Latin America and the fourth worldwide, with over 12 million mortgages on its books and a new one added every 53 seconds.
