''Second Thoughts'' is a 1983 American comedy-drama film directed by Lawrence Turman and starring Lucie Arnaz, Craig Wasson, Ken Howard and Anne Schedeen. It was the second feature directed by Turman, who was better known as a producer. Plot Lawyer Amy finds herself courted by two very different men: her client, a roguish street musician named Will, and her old boyfriend John Michael. A curious triangle develops as Amy gets pregnant by Will and both men vie for her affections. Lawrence Turman
Lawrence Turman (born November 28, 1926) is an American former film producer. Early life Turman was born to a Jewish family. Career Turman was nominated for an Academy Award for ''The Graduate'' (1967). He has also produced such films as '' Pretty Poison'' (1968), ''The Great White Hope'' (1970), '' The Thing'' (1982), '' Mass Appeal'' (1984), ''Short Circuit'' (1986), ''The River Wild'' (1994), and ''American History X'' (1998). He has also directed two films: ''The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker'' (1971) and '' Second Thoughts'' (1983). Charles Lampkin (1913–1989) was an American actor, musician and lecturer. Early life Charles Lampkin was born on March 17, 1913 in Ward 4 of Montgomery, Alabama. He was the third son of Edgar Lampkin and Sarah Bidell. His paternal lineage is traced to British slave-owners and his maternal ancestors were Africans enslaved in the British colonies of Virginia and Georgia before the American Revolution of 1776. His great-grandmother Ann Lampkin, an emancipated slave, was one of the first people to befriend a twenty-five-year-old Booker T. Washington when he arrived in Alabama in 1881. She secured land and along with her church sisters raised funds for the Tuskegee Institute. Edgar Lampkin moved his family from Montgomery to Cleveland in the 1920s, part of the Great Migration.
