Second Honeymoon (TV Series)
''Second Honeymoon'' (spelled as ''2nd Honeymoon'' on its titlecard) is a Canadian game show that was hosted by Wayne Cox. Wink Martindale created and produced the show with his then-business partner Jerry Gilden, and radio personality Doc Harris was the announcer. The Vancouver-based show aired on CBN from September 2, 1987 to May 1988 (with reruns aired until September 2, 1988) in the US, and on the Global Television Network in Canada. Gameplay Modeled on ''The Newlywed Game'', three couples and their children (comprising three teams of four to eight people) answered questions to win (as the title says) a second honeymoon. The children were asked a series of multiple-choice questions in the style of ''Newlywed'' to see how much they knew their parents. The Newlywed Game
''The Newlywed Game'' is an American television game show that puts newly married couples against each other in a series of revealing question rounds to determine how well the spouses know or do not know each other. The program, originally created by Robert "Nick" Nicholson and E. Roger Muir (credited on-screen as Roger E. Muir) and produced by Chuck Barris, has appeared in many different versions since its 1966 debut. The show became famous for some of the arguments that couples had over incorrect answers in the form of mistaken predictions, and it even led to some divorces. Many of ''The Newlywed Game''s questions dealt with "making whoopee", the euphemism that producers used for sexual intercourse to circumvent network censorship. Wink Martindale
Winston Conrad "Wink" Martindale (born December 4, 1933) is an American disc jockey, radio personality, game show host, and television producer. In his six-decade career, he is best known for hosting ''Gambit'' from 1972 to 1976 (and again from 1980 to 1981), ''Tic-Tac-Dough'' from 1978 to 1985, ''High Rollers'' from 1987 to 1988, and ''Debt'' from 1996 to 1998. Career Radio Martindale was born in Jackson, Tennessee, and started his career as a disc jockey at age 17 at WPLI in Jackson, earning $25 a week. After moving to WTJS, he was hired away for double the salary by Jackson's only other station, WDXI. He next hosted mornings at WHBQ in Memphis while a college student at Memphis State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957.
