Seanie O'Shea
Seanie O'Shea is a former footballer and hurler from Kenmare, County Kerry. He played with the Kerry inter-county hurling team during the 1990s. He played in the famous 1993 Munster Championship win over Waterford GAA, Waterford. He won an All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship with Dr Crokes in 1992, and returned as a trainer in later years. He is a brother of former Kerry manager Pat O'Shea (GAA), Pat O'Shea. After retiring from playing, he took up management of teams at all levels with Dr Crokes. In 2010 and 2011, he was part of John Meyler's backroom team that won the 2011 Christy Ring Cup after losing out in the 2010 final. Dr Crokes GAA
Dr Crokes is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in Killarney in County Kerry, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Notable players include Colm Cooper. Founded in 1886, the club's successes include the capture of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship in 1992 and 2016–17 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship, 2017. The club has won the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, Munster Club Championship on eight occasions - 1991, 1992, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2018 Kerry Senior Football Championship#Final, 2018. Dual Players
Dual player or dual star is a term used in Hiberno-English to describe someone who competes in multiple sports — for example, in Victorian Ireland, cricket and hurling. The term today in Gaelic games typically describes a male player who plays both Gaelic football and hurling or, if a female player, a player of ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. The player does not necessarily have to play at the same standard in both sports. Christy Ring Cup
The Christy Ring Cup () is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Originally introduced as a second-tier competition, it is currently the third tier overall in the inter-county hurling championship system. Each year, the champions of the Christy Ring Cup are promoted to the Joe McDonagh Cup, and the lowest finishing team is relegated to the Nicky Rackard Cup. Kildare are the 2022 title-holders. The Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kerry GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland. John Meyler
John Meyler (born 1956) is an Irish hurling manager and former selector, association footballer, Gaelic footballer and hurler who is currently the manager of the Kilmoyley senior hurling team. He has formerly managed the Kerry, Wexford, Carlow and Cork senior hurling teams. Meyler's inter-county career spanned fifteen years. Beginning as a dual minor with Wexford, he later played with the county's under-21 and senior sides. After joining the Cork senior team in 1982, Meyler won an All-Ireland medal in 1986. As a dual player with the St Finbarr's club, Meyler won seven county championship medals across both codes, dual Munster medals and an All-Ireland medal as captain of the club's football team in 1987. As a manager, selector, coach and trainer, Meyler has previously worked with club sides Kilmoyley, Ballinhassig, Courcey Rovers and Inniscarra, and inter-county teams Kerry, Wexford and Carlow. Pat O'Shea (GAA)
Pat O'Shea (born 14 June 1966) is a Gaelic football manager from Killarney in Ireland. He was manager of the Kerry senior football team from 2007–2008, and won the 2007 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship with Kerry. He co-authored the book ''Gaelic Football Training Drills'' () by COS Productions. Playing career O'Shea played predominantly at corner forward for Dr Crokes and won a Kerry Senior Football Championship in 1991 and 2000 and an All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship in 1992. He also played hurling with the St Patrick's and Dr Crokes clubs and the Kerry under-21 team. Managerial career O'Shea managed the Kerry minor teams in 2002 and 2003.
