A Little Late With Lilly Singh
''A Little Late with Lilly Singh'' is an American late-night talk show that was broadcast by NBC. Premiering on September 16, 2019, and hosted by Canadian comedian and internet celebrity Lilly Singh, it succeeded ''Last Call with Carson Daly'' as the third and final original program of NBC's late-night lineup, airing at 1:37 a.m. ET/PT. The show originally used a studio-based format similar to other late-night talk shows, albeit with its episodes being filmed in advance rather than the same day they air, and therefore having a reduced focus on current events. For its second season, the show was retooled with new production staff, and began to be filmed in a Los Angeles home rather than live-to-tape. Singh became the first openly bisexual person, as well as the first person of Indian and South Asian descent, to host an American broadcast major network late-night talk show. ''A Little Late'' was canceled by NBC on May 6, 2021, with its final episode airing on June 3, 2021, ...

ESPY Award
An ESPY Award (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) is an accolade currently presented by the American broadcast television network ABC, and previously ESPN (as of the 2017 ESPY Awards the latter still airs them in the form of replays), to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony. The first ESPYs were awarded in 1993. Because of the ceremony's rescheduling prior to the 2002 iteration thereof, awards presented in 2002 were for achievement and performances during the seventeen-plus previous months. As the similarly styled Grammy (for music), Emmy (for television), Academy Award (for film), and Tony (for theater), the ESPYs are hosted by a contemporary celebrity; the style, though, is lighter, more relaxed and self-referential than many other awards shows, with comedic sketches usually included. From the show's inception to 2004, ESPY Award winners were cho ...

MTV Video Music Awards
The MTV Video Music Awards (commonly abbreviated as the VMAs) is an award show presented by the cable channel MTV to honour the best in the music video medium. Originally conceived as an alternative to the Grammy Awards (in the video category), the annual MTV Video Music Awards ceremony has often been called the "Super Bowl for youth", an acknowledgment of the VMA ceremony's ability to draw millions of youth from teens to 20-somethings each year. By 2001, the VMA had become a coveted award. The statue given to winners is an astronaut on the moon, one of the earliest representations of MTV, and was colloquially called a "moonman". However, in 2017, Chris McCarthy, the president of MTV, stated that the statue would be called a "Moon Person" from then on. The statue was conceived by Manhattan Design—also designers of the original MTV logo—based on the 1981 "Top of the Hour" animation created by Fred Seibert, produced by Alan Goodman, and produced by Buzz Potamkin at Buzzco As ...

MTV Movie & TV Awards
The MTV Movie & TV Awards (formerly the MTV Movie Awards) is a film and television awards show presented annually on MTV. The first MTV Movie Awards were presented in 1992. The ceremony was renamed the MTV Movie & TV Awards for its 26th edition in 2017 to also honor work in television as well as film. The awards have traditionally been tied to the start of the summer blockbuster season for the film industry, and with the launch of the television awards, the opening of that industry's awards season. The nominees are decided by producers and executives at MTV. The winners are then decided by the general public. Presently, voting is done only through an official MTV Movie & TV Awards voting website. Winners are presented with the "golden popcorn" statue made by New-York-firm Society Awards. Production process For much of its history, the ceremony was recorded for later broadcast, unlike the MTV Video Music Awards, which are usually live, but not live-to-tape, where the ceremony ...

Lights Out With David Spade
''Lights Out with David Spade'' was an American late-night talk show hosted by David Spade. Premiering on Comedy Central on July 29, 2019, the series features discussions on popular culture topics between Spade and a rotating panel of guest comedians, as well as other filmed segments. History The series was scheduled as a lead-out for ''The Daily Show''; since the conclusion of ''The Colbert Report'', the timeslot had seen several short-lived attempts at ''Daily Show'' spin-offs focusing on other cast members, such as ''The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore'' and '' The Opposition with Jordan Klepper'', which both faced low viewership. ''Lights Out'' marked the first Comedy Central program in the 11:30 timeslot to not be a news comedy program or be hosted by an alumnus of ''The Daily Show''; network president Kent Alterman argued that viewers were being fatigued by the extensive focus on politics and the Trump administration on other late night shows, with Spade saying that his s ...
