''The Itchy & Scratchy Show'' (often shortened as ''Itchy & Scratchy'') is a fictional animated television series featured on ''The Simpsons''. Description The show depicts a blue mouse named Itchy who repeatedly and violently maims or kills a black cat, Scratchy. It is typically presented as 15- to 60-second-long cartoons that are a part of ''The Krusty the Clown Show.'' The show is filled with gratuitous violence that almost invariably prompts uproarious laughter from Bart and Lisa, and Homer when he occasionally watches. The Itchy and Scratchy characters are extremely violent and bloody parodies of cat and mouse cartoons such as ''Tom and Jerry,'' ''Herman and Katnip'', and ''Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks''. ''Scratchy & Co.'' Was a British children's entertainment show that aired on ITV on Saturday mornings from 6 May 1995 to 25 April 1998. Premise ''Scratchy & Co.'' starred Elliot Henderson-Boyle as "Reg" and Mark Speight as "Scratchy". Other characters included Annabel and a Scottish girl, both played by comedian and impressionist Ronni Ancona. The main gimmick of the show was that the cast wore "solid rubber wigs" and eccentric jackets. A stylistic similarity might be noted between this approach and ''Max Headroom''. This format only lasted for its first series. Later series introduced other characters such as Sedgely the penguin and Fathead the football. From the second series, the show moved away from the original ''Max Headroom''-esque style, into a studio where Scratchy (now minus the rubber wig) sat behind a desk, with Reg behind a window. Scratchy Bottom (or Scratchy's Bottom) is a clifftop valley between Durdle Door and Bat's Head in Dorset, England. A dry valley in the chalk, it is surrounded by farmland at its sides and landward end, with cliffs at the seaward end. The name is thought to refer to a rough hollow. Scratchy Bottom has been noted for its unusual place name. Roll Deep (formerly Roll Deep Entourage) are a British grime crew. They were founded in 2001 by Wiley shortly before the disbandment of UK garage crew Pay As U Go Cartel. The group have had two UK No. 1 singles, "Good Times" and " Green Light", won an Urban Music Award, and between 2001 and 2012 they released five studio albums before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2013. Current member Wiley and former members Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder have gone on to be successful solo artists in the UK, with songs that have topped charts. History Inspired by the success of So Solid Crew, Wiley founded the UK garage crew Ladies Hit Squad alongside DJ Target and Maxwell D around the end of the 20th century (2000). At the same time, Plague, Slimzee, Geeneus, Major Ace and God's Gift were enjoying relative success with another garage crew called Pay As U Go Kartel.
