Scratches (video Game)
''Scratches'' is a mystery adventure computer game by game developer Nucleosys. ''Scratches'' is the first commercial adventure game ever to be made in Argentina. Plot The game tells the story of the Blackwood estate on the outskirts of Rothbury, a small rural town in Northumberland, England in 1976. Originally owned by James T. Blackwood in 1963, the house is passed to Christopher Milton after Mr. Blackwood is accused of murdering his wife. A couple of days later, Mr. Blackwood dies of a sudden heart attack though some in the town start rumors that he might have committed suicide. The police decide to close the case seeing there is no further evidence left. Shortly after acquiring the house, Milton inexplicably disappears in 1970 leaving no visible trace. The player assumes the role of the house's next inhabitant, Michael Arthate, an author seeking seclusion to work on his next book. Nucleosys
Nucleosys was a video game developer based in Argentina specializing in the adventure genre. History The company was founded in 2003 by Agustin Cordes and Alejandro Graziani. The studio' s first release was Scratches in 2006. After this release, Nucleosys rebranded as Nucleosys Digital Studio. On July 15, 2009 Nucleosys was announced to be disbanding. On August 3, 2009 the studio announced via its official site that it would be closing its doors soon. Agustin Cordes later went on to found Senscape. Lovecraft and his followers. Russobit-M
Russobit-M is defunct distributor of PC games in Russia and the CIS. It served an important role in PC game distribution in the Post-Soviet states. In 2003 it partnered with GFI to release game software and DVDs throughout Russia. Russobit-M was established in 1999 and quite soon became the major publisher and distributor in the Russian and CIS game markets. The company employed more than two hundred game specialists and had over one hundred partners worldwide at its peak. By the time the company stopped operating, it had sold five million CD/DVDs on the local market. In 2003, the company combined efforts with GFI. Providence, Rhode Island
