Scott Morrison (born January 3, 1986), nicknamed "Scomo", is a Canadian former professional basketball player who last played for Ryukyu Golden Kings of the B.League. Morrison played the center position. College career At the age of 18, he moved to America and began his college career in Portland State University. He averaged 9.2 points and 5.6 rebounds for Vikings and still holds the school records for blocked shots and dunks, and top 5 all time in PSU rebound history. He was also a part of two Big Sky Conference champions team and was the conference's Defensive Player of the Year in 2007-08. Scott Morrison (basketball Coach)
Scott Morrison (born 1978) is a Canadian basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. Early life Morrison was born and raised in Morell, Prince Edward Island, and attended Morell Regional High School. Growing up, his father George was the head coach of the UPEI Panthers men's basketball program. College career From 1995 to 2000, Morrison attended the University of Prince Edward Island and played for the Panthers in the Canadian Inter-University Sport (CIS). He graduated as the school's all-time leader in assists and 3-point field goals made and fifth on the all-time leading scorer list. The was a professional basketball league in Japan that began in November 2005 as a six-team league. The league was operated as a competitor to the established Japan Super League which was run by the Japan Basketball Association, the official governing body of basketball in Japan. Over the next ten years the league saw continual expansion, with at least one new team joining every season, reaching 24 teams divided into two conferences in its final season in 2015–16. Turkish Airlines was the major sponsor of the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. The bj league operated on the American sports franchise system. The Adelaide 36ers, also known as the Sixers, are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (NBL). The 36ers are the only team in the league representing the state of South Australia and are based in the state's capital of Adelaide. The club was originally called the Adelaide City Eagles when they joined the NBL in 1982, but changed their name to the 36ers the following year. The 36ers nickname comes from the fact that the Colony of South Australia was officially proclaimed on 28 December 1836. The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". After three years of strong lobbying to the NBL, the creation of a national basketball team in Perth finally occurred in 1982.
