Schollbrunn is a community in the Main-Spessart district in the '' Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany and a member of the ''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'' (Administrative Community) of Kreuzwertheim. It has a population of over 900. Geography Schollbrunn lies in the Lower Franconia region, west of Würzburg in the Main-Spessart district. The community has only the ''Gemarkung'' (traditional rural cadastral area) of Schollbrunn. The town is surrounded by the wooded hills of the Spessart. History Schollbrunn was part of the County of Wertheim, held by the Counts of Löwenstein-Wertheim, which in 1806 was mediatized by the Principality of Aschaffenburg, with which it passed in 1814 (by this time it had become a department of the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt) to the Kingdom of Bavaria. Grünau Charterhouse
Grünau Charterhouse (German: ''Kloster'' or ''Kartause Grünau'') is a former Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, in Schollbrunn in Bavaria, Germany. Haslochbach
Haslochbach is a small river of Bavaria, Germany. It flows into the Main east of Hasloch. Course The Hasellochbach rises at the ''Haselbrunnen'' in the upper Haseltal, at the foot of the Geiersberg, the highest elevation of the Spessart. Passing through two small ponds the rivulet then flows to the south and underneath the of the major motorway ''Bundesautobahn 3''. Spessart is a ''Mittelgebirge'', a range of low wooded mountains, in the States of Bavaria and Hesse in Germany. It is bordered by the Vogelsberg, Rhön and Odenwald. Main-Spessart
Main-Spessart is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the northwest of Bavaria, Germany. It is located in Lower Franconia and derives its name from the river Main and the wooded hills of the Spessart. Geography The district is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Bad Kissingen, Schweinfurt and Würzburg, the state of Baden-Württemberg (district of Main-Tauber), the districts of Miltenberg and Aschaffenburg, and the state of Hesse (district of Main-Kinzig). Main (river)
The Main () is the longest tributary of the Rhine. It rises as the White Main in the Fichtel Mountains of northeastern Bavaria and flows west through central Germany for to meet the Rhine below Rüsselsheim, Hesse.
