David Schaal is an American-born British actor, director, screenwriter, and comedian. He is best known for his roles as Taffy in the British sitcom ''The Office'' and Terry Cartwright in ''The Inbetweeners''. Richard Schaal (; May 5, 1928 – November 4, 2014) was an American film and television actor born in Chicago, Illinois. Career In 1962, Schaal joined Chicago's famed Second City, becoming skilled in sketch and improvisational comedy. He was featured in a number of episodes of the 1970s sitcoms ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'' (where he played no fewer than four different characters: Howard Arnell, his brother Paul, Chuckles the Clown and Dino), ''The Bob Newhart Show'' (as three characters: Don Fezler, Don Livingston and Chuck Brock), '' Rhoda'' (as Charlie Burke) and ''Phyllis'' (23 episodes as Leo Heatherton). His earliest appearance with Mary Tyler Moore was in the 1966 '' Dick Van Dyke Show'' episode "Dear Sally Rogers" (billed as Dick Schaal). Stefan Schaal (born 1961) is a German-American computer scientist specializing in robotics, machine learning, autonomous systems, and computational neuroscience. Education and career Schaal was born in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, Schaal grew up in the North Bavarian town of Nürnberg. After graduating from school, he served in the German army in the Ski Patrol Division of Bad Reichenhall, where he honorably discharged with the rank of a Lieutenant. Schaalsee is a lake in Germany. It forms part of the border between Schleswig-Holstein (district Herzogtum Lauenburg) and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (districts Ludwigslust-Parchim and Nordwestmecklenburg). The town of Zarrentin is located on its southern shores. The Johan Cruyff Shield (, ) is a football trophy in the Netherlands named after Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, also often referred to as the Dutch Super Cup.
