''Scandal in Bad Ischl'' (German: ''Skandal in Ischl'') is a 1957 Austrian historical comedy film directed by Rolf Thiele and starring O.W. Fischer, Elisabeth Müller and Ivan Desny.Dassanowsky p.172 The film takes place in 1910 in the spa town of Bad Ischl. The film's sets were designed by the art director Felix Smetana. Rolf Thiele (7 March 1918 – 9 October 1994) was a German film director, film producer, producer and screenwriter. He directed 42 films between 1951 and 1977. He was born in Ústí nad Labem, Prödlitz, then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His 1958 film ''Eva (1958 film), Eva'' was entered into the 1959 Cannes Film Festival. Alma Seidler
Alma Seidler (1 June 1899 – 8 December 1977) was an Austrian actress. She was member of the Burgtheater for over 50 years. Biography Alma Seidler was born in Leoben, the daughter of Ernst Seidler von Feuchtenegg. The later Burgtheater director Albert Heine was her teacher and sponsor. From 1918 to 1977, she was actress at the Burgtheater and made her debut in Ibsen's ''Wildente'' in 1919. Since 1960, she was honorary member of the Burgtheater. She also performed at the Salzburg Festival. Seidler was married to the Burgtheater actor and director , with whom she had a son. She died in Vienna on 8 December 1977 and is buried in a grave of honor at the Vienna Central Cemetery. Michael Ande
Michael Ande (born 5 October 1944, Bad Wiessee) is a German actor, best-known for his role as Gerd Heymann in the West German crime-drama television series ''The Old Fox'' which he played between 1977 and 2016. He was a well-known German film child star during the 1950s. A German reader reports, "Michael played in mostly melodramas--those films with nice people, love and mountains, etc (sentimental film in an idealized setting). Some would consider these rather schmaltz tear-jerkers. Two words come to mind in German. The first is "Heimatfilm".
