Saeed Nafisi
Saeed Nafisi (also Naficy) ( fa, سعید نفیسی; June 8, 1895 – November 13, 1966) was an Iranian scholar, fiction writer and poet. He was a prolific writer in Persian. Nafisi was born in Tehran, where he conducted numerous research projects on Iranian culture, literature and poetry. He first emerged as a serious thinker when he joined Mohammad-Taqi Bahar, Abbas Eqbal Ashtiani, Gholamreza Rashid-Yasemi and Abdolhossein Teymourtash to found one of the first literary magazines to be published in Iran, called Daneshkade, in 1918. He subsequently published many articles on Iran, Persian literary texts and Sufism and his works have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. He died in a Russian hospital in Tehran. Sultan Said Khan (; 1487–1533) ruled the Yarkent Khanate from September 1514 to July 1533. Said Kamal (1938–2017) was a Palestinian politician who served as the representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to Egypt. He held other posts in the PLO and was a member of the Palestinian National Council. Early life and education Kamal was born in Nablus, Mandatory Palestine, on 23 September 1938. Sa'id ibn Jubayr (665–714) ( ar, سعيد بن جبير), also known as Abū Muhammad, was originally from Kufa, in modern-day Iraq. He was regarded as one of the leading members of the Tabi'in (d. ca. 712). Ostad Sa'id Hormozi ( fa, سعید هرمزی) (1898–1976) was an Iranian musician who is remembered for his efforts to "promote authentic Iranian music" and pass it to modern musicians. He was born in one of the old neighborhoods of Tehran called Sangalaj. He was a prominent radif master and virtuoso tar and setar player. Saeed Hanaei or Said Hanai ( fa, سعید حنایی; 1962 – April 8, 2002) was an Iranian serial killer. Personal life Hanaei was born in 1962. He had a dysfunctional relationship with his mother, who violently abused him; he later claimed that she frequently scratched him with her fingernails hard enough to draw blood, and attempted to bite off pieces of his flesh. At the time of his murders, he was married and had three children. He was a construction worker by profession, and served as a volunteer in the Iran-Iraq war.
