Saúl Berjón
Saúl Berjón Pérez (born 24 May 1986) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left winger or forward. Club career Born in Oviedo, Asturias, Berjón graduated from Real Oviedo's youth setup, but started playing as a senior with lowly Berrón CF. After representing CD Lealtad and UP Langreo also in the Tercera División, he signed with Segunda División B club UD Pájara Playas de Jandía in summer 2007. Berjón scored nine goals during the season, and subsequently moved to UD Las Palmas of Segunda División on 19 May 2008. He played his first match as a professional on 30 August, coming on as a substitute for Sergio Suárez in the 56th minute of a 1–0 away loss against Real Sociedad. Sociedad Deportiva Eibar (in eu, Eibar Kirol Elkartea) is a professional Spanish football club based in Eibar, Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous Basque Country. 2008–09 Segunda División
The 2008–09 Segunda División season (known from that season as Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 30 August 2008, and the season ended on 21 June 2009. Real Zaragoza, Real Murcia and Levante were the teams relegated from La Liga the previous season. Alicante, Girona, Huesca and Rayo Vallecano were the teams promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The first goal of the season was scored by Alexandre Geijo, who scored in the 11th minute for Levante against Real Zaragoza in the early kick-off. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Segunda División, commercially known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, is the men's second professional association football division of the Spanish football league system.
