Saurabh Meher
Saurabh Meher (born 12 January 2000) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Gokulam Kerala. Career Saurabh was part of the India U-16 team which finished runners-up in the 2015 SAFF U-16 Championship, losing to Bangladesh U16 in the final on penalties. Saurabh was part of the AIFF Elite Academy batch that was preparing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted in India. He made his professional debut for the side in the Arrow's first match of the 2019-20 season against Gokulam Kerala F.C. He started and played full match as Indian Arrows central defender and lost 0–1. Meher plays primarily in the heart of defence but can also slot in as a make-shift wing-back. I-League 2, previously known as I-League 2nd Division and officially known as or Hero I-League 2 (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), is an Indian men's professional football league. It is the 3rd tier of Indian football, behind Indian Super League and I-League. It operates as a system of promotion with I-League (final qualifying phase of state leagues teams). In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic in India, the league format was changed into I-League Qualifiers. To avoid confusion with I-League being the second tier, the league was renamed to I-League 2 by AIFF in 2022. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March.
