The Saudi Women's Premier League ( ar, الدوري السعودي الممتاز للسيدات) is the top flight of women's association football in Saudi Arabia. The competition is run by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. History The first Saudi women's club were King's United based in Jeddah, and Eastern Flames in Dhahran. Both were formed in 2006. The First Division League (FDL for short), also called the Yelo league for Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. King Cup
The King Cup (sometimes spelled King's), officially known as The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Cup ( ar, كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين), is the Saudi Arabian football knockout cup competition, run by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. The cup was created in 1957 and was played until 1990. It was re-launched again in 2007 as ''King's Cup of Champions'', and was played by only the top 6 finishers of the Professional League plus the Crown Prince Cup and Federation Cup winners. Since 2014, it was renamed as ''King's Cup'', the competition returned to its roots by implementing the old format. 153 clubs have taken part in the tournament. Saudi Super Cup
The Saudi Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر السعودي) is an annual super cup football match organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Founded in 2013 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2022–23 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the King Cup and Pro League. The competition was held the week before the season begins in Saudi Arabia from 2013 until 2018. Since the 2019 edition it has been held mid-season. The current holders are Al-Hilal, who won 2–2 (4–3 on penalties) against Al-Faisaly in the 2021 edition. Saudi Second Division
The Saudi Second Division , also known as the Second Division League (SDL), is a football league that is the third tier of the Saudi Arabian football league system. The league consists of 32 teams divided into two groups and was founded in 1996. Promotion and relegation The top 3 teams are promoted to the First Division League. The first two teams of each group will advance directly to the First Division League, and the second two teams of each group will compete in two round-trip matches, and the winning team will advance to the First Division League as the third team. The bottom two clubs of each group are relegated to the Third Division League.
