Sattenapalle (Assembly Constituency)
Sattenapalle Assembly constituency is a constituency in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, representing the state legislative assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency, along with Pedakurapadu, Chilakaluripet, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Gurajala, and Macherla. Ambati Rambabu is the present MLA of the constituency, who won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. As of 25 March 2019, there are a total of 230,775 electors in the constituency. 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 11 April 2019 for constituting the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held alongside the 2019 Indian general election. The YSR Congress Party won the election in a landslide, winning 151 of the 175 seats, with the incumbent Telugu Desam Party winning just 23. The Jana Sena Party entered the legislature with one seat, while the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party failed to win any seats. YSRCP's 151-seat win (or 86%) is the largest majority government (in % terms) in the history of Andhra Pradesh, even surpassing TDP's 226-seat victory (or 77%) and equal if number of seats contested is only considered (216 out of 251) in the Undivided 1994 election Y. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao
Kodela Siva Prasada Rao (2 May 1947 – 16 September 2019) was an Indian politician from the Telugu Desam Party and also a former Member of the Legislative Assembly from Sattenapalle. Beginning 2014 he served for five years as the Speaker of the first Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In a career spanning three decades, he served as a cabinet minister in the N. T. Rama Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu governments, serving at various times as Minister of Home Affairs, Health, Major Irrigation department, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and Civil Supplies. 1967 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 1967 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election were held in 1967. Out of a total of 1,067 candidates for 287 seats, 276 men and 11 women were elected. Meduri Nageswara Rao
Meduri Nageswara Rao (31 March 1910 – 13 January 1998) was an Indian independence activist, politician and Member of Parliament. Life sketch He was born to Shri Venkatrayadu in Etukur, Guntur district on 31 March 1910. He was educated at A.E.L.M. High School. He married Smt. Musalamma in 1930. They had four children; two sons and two daughters. He left studies and participated in Salt Satyagraha in 1930. He was jailed in Vellore and Alipur. 1955 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Andhra State Legislative Assembly were held on 11 February 1955. 581 candidates contested for the 167 constituencies in the Assembly.
