A mail sack or mailsack is a mail bag used to carry large quantities of mail. Different handling and security requirements for different classes of mail is integral to the postal rate structure. A mail sack is not a locked bag since they need little security. In contrast to a similar ''mailbag'' referred to as a mail pouch (for more sensitive mail such as personal letters and military mail) that employs a locking mechanism on the top of the bag. A ''mail pouch'' has special closely spaced eyelets and a strong strap to secure the top where access into the bag is closed off and locked, where a ''mail sack'' has none of these features. Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige (July 7, 1906 – June 8, 1982) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in Negro league baseball and Major League Baseball (MLB). His career spanned five decades and culminated with his induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, National Baseball Hall of Fame. A right-handed pitcher, Paige first played for the semi-professional Mobile Tigers from 1924 to 1926. Blanche Satchel was an Australian dancer and model. Biography Satchel appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies and Earl Carroll's ''Vanities'' and was once ''Miss Australia''. She came from London, England, with the Follies in 1925. Her height was 5'7", she weighed 123 pounds, and she had brown eyes. Her mother was an actress. She was linked romantically to aviator Charles Lindbergh according to newspaper stories in 1928. Satchel was the subject of a number of nude paintings rendered by Howard Chandler Christy, who is famous for the ''Christy Girl''.
