Sassal (Rhaetian Railway Station)
Sassal railway station was a small railway station (essentially a halt) on the Chur-Arosa The Rhaetian Railway (german: Rhätische Bahn; it, Ferrovia retica; rm, Viafier retica), abbreviated RhB, is a Swiss transport company that owns the largest network of all private railway operators in Switzerland. Headquartered in Chur, the RhB ... line (the ''"Arosabahn"'') of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It was situated on the southeastern outskirts of Chur, by the Plessur river, between the city suburb of Sand and the settlement of Meiersboden. The small community of Sassal is located on the other side of the river, on the hillside near Meiersboden. The RhB has closed Sassal halt (that is, passengers can no longer embark/alight there, though trains continue to run through on the line) due to the danger of falling rocks, low passenger numbers, and problems getting on and off trains at this location. Arosa (Rhaetian Railway Station)
Arosa railway station is a railway station on the Chur–Arosa railway (the ''"Arosabahn"'') of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It is situated in the town and resort of Arosa, close by to the Obersee (one of the lakes in the vicinity). The station is the upper terminus of the line and has a number of passenger facilities including a ticket office, shop, and cafe. A 299m long tunnel takes the line under part of Arosa as it ascends to the station. There is a large yard of freight/rolling stock sidings just beyond the station at the very end of the line, as well as a 2-road locomotive shed (essentially for shunters) at the lower end. The Rhaetian Railway (german: Rhätische Bahn; it, Ferrovia retica; rm, Viafier retica), abbreviated RhB, is a Swiss transport company that owns the largest network of all private railway operators in Switzerland. Chur Altstadt railway station is a small railway station (essentially a street Train station#Halt, halt) on the Chur–Arosa railway (the ''"Arosabahn"'') of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It is situated near the old town (''Altstadt'') of Chur, on Plessurquai by the Plessur (river), Plessur river, less than a kilometre (0.76 km) from the Chur railway station, main railway station of the city. It was called Chur Stadt railway station until 8 December 2018. The halt is closer to the shops, bars and attractions of the old town than the main station.
