Sarah Jones (Australian Journalist)
Sarah Jones (born 24 June 1982) is an Australian television presenter and sportscaster on Fox Sports. Jones is currently a host with Fox Footy’s AFL coverage and Fox Cricket‘s BBL coverage after appearing on Fox Sports News as a reporter and host. Personal life and education Jones grew up in Echuca, Victoria, as one of five siblings to parents father Tony and mother Chris. In 1990, Chris was killed in a car crash; Sarah was the only child not in the car at the time, while her siblings survived and escaped. Jones is a mother of two girls, Mila (b. 2015) and Halle (b. 2017), with husband Leigh Carlson, a producer at Fox Footy. Echuca ( ) is a town on the banks of the Murray River and Campaspe River in Victoria, Australia. The border town of Moama is adjacent on the northern side of the Murray River in New South Wales. Echuca is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Shire of Campaspe. Leigh Matthews Trophy
The Leigh Matthews Trophy is an annual award given by the AFL Players Association to the Most Valuable Player in the Australian Football League. It is named in honour of Leigh Matthews, who won the first MVP award in 1982, when the league was still known as the Victorian Football League. The trophy was first awarded in 2002, and all previous VFLPA/AFLPA MVPs were retrospectively given the Matthews Trophy in 2005. It is awarded at a special AFL Players Association awards ceremony.
