Ameno (Piedmontese and Lombard: ''Amén'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin and about northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it has a population of 906 and an area of .Demographical and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat. The word Ameno means a healthy, tranquil place in Italian. The village is on the top of a hill surrounded by mountains, a lake, and brushland.
