Joseph Sandler (born 1953) is a Washington, D.C. attorney who served as in-house general counsel for the Democratic National Committee from 1993 to 1998 and continued in this role at his firm Sandler, Reiff & Young through 2009. He now serves as an adviser to prominent Democrats, state parties, and progressive organizations, such as Moveon.org. Sandler shepherded the Democratic National Committee through massive change, including multiple leadership changes, and the implementation of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, that Sandler famously referred to as a "fascist monstrosity" and accurately predicted would result in the national parties' loss of influence. Biography Karen Sandler was born in Gardena, California to a Jewish family, the daughter Samuel Stier and Barbara Joan (Russo) Stier, and raised nearby, in Hawthorne. After receiving a B.A. in mathematics with a minor in physics in 1976 from California State University, Dominguez Hills, Sandler worked as a software engineer at Rockwell International in Downey, California on the Space Shuttle project. Tony Sandler (born Lucien Joseph Santelé, 18 August 1933) is a Belgian singer who was half the vocal duo Sandler and Young, which was popular from the 1960s to the 1980s. Europe 1954–1963 Sandler began performing as a boy with the Belgian choir « les petits chanteurs des sept croix » of Mouscron. In 1954, he recorded his first hit "Song of the Sea" while serving with the Belgian Air Force during the Korean War. He attracted international audiences in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Britain, and became a stage and television star with dozens of hit records. Ron Sandler CBE is a British businessman best known for his contribution in the rescue of Lloyd's of London, where he was CEO from 1995 to 1999. He was also the government-appointed executive chairman of Northern Rock during its three-year nationalization. Rickard Johannes Sandler (29 January 1884 – 12 November 1964) was a Swedish Social Democratic politician.
