Sandeep Singh
Sandeep Singh (born 27 February 1986) is an Indian professional field hockey player from Haryana and an ex-captain of the Indian national hockey team. He generally features as a full back and is a penalty corner specialist for the team. He has been dubbed "Flicker Singh" in the media for his specialization of the drag-flick, one of the fastest in the world. Singh holds a DSP rank in the Haryana Police. He has been elected as MLA in 2019 from Pehowa constituency in Kurukshetra, Haryana from Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the Sports Minister of Haryana and resigned from the post on 1 January 2023, after the Haryana police registered a case against him for sexual assault complaint. Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VM, (born 15 January 1963) is a retired officer of the Indian Air Force. He served as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff, succeeding Vivek Ram Chaudhari. Previously, he served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), South Western Air Command. Career Sandeep Singh was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force on December 22, 1983. He has flying experience of over 4780 hrs of operational and test flying experience on Su-30 MKI, MiG-29, MiG-21, Kiran, An-32, AVRO, Jaguar and Mirage 2000. Sandeep Kumar Singh is an Indian politician and the Minister of State for Education (Independent Charge) in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Education Singh received his bachelor’s degree from Delhi University and a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom. Soraisham Sandeep Singh (born 1 March 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a full back for Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters. Club career Early career Sandeep did his youth football at the academy of Shillong Lajong before being promoted to the senior team in 2014. He made his debut for the senior team in a 5-2 loss against Pune FC on 30 January 2015 as which he came on as a substitute for Durga Boro in the 79th minute. The 2010 Kallang slashing was a series of five robberies committed by a group of eight Malaysians from Sarawak, Malaysia in the night of 29 May 2010 and the early hours of the morning of 30 May 2010 (some of the culprits were not involved in the subsequent four robberies), mostly around Kallang Area, Singapore. In the robberies, there were a total of five victims – the first four victims were seriously injured and hospitalised while a fifth victim was killed. Three of the perpetrators were charged with murder, four with gang robbery and the final culprit remained on the run for seven years before being arrested and charged with murder.
