San Lorenzo De Almagro (women)
Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro is the women's football section of the homonymous sports club based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They currently play in the Campeonato de Fútbol Femenino. Las Santitas, as its players are called, are currently one of the best women's football clubs in Argentina. Within its recorded history, they have won three Primera División titles (2009 Ap, 2015 and 2021 Ap) thus becoming the first club other than Boca Juniors and River Plate to achieve this feat. They were also the first Argentine team to play in Copa Libertadores Femenina in 2009, its male counterpart having achieved the same in Copa Libertadores in 1960. San Lorenzo are one of the only four clubs to be champion of the first division, along with Boca, River and UAI Urquiza. The CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina, named as "Copa Libertadores Femenina" ( pt, Copa Libertadores Feminina or Taça Libertadores Feminina) is an annual international women's association football club competition in South America. It is organized by the South American Football Federation (CONMEBOL). The competition started in the 2009 season in response to the increased interest in women's football. Club Deportivo UAI Urquiza (formerly "Club Ferrocarril Urquiza") is an Argentine sports club sited in Villa Lynch, General San Martín Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. Its men's football team currently plays at Primera B Metropolitana, the third division of the Argentine football league system. 1960 Copa Libertadores
The 1960 Copa de Campeones de América was the first season of the Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL's premier club tournament. Seven association's clubs entered the first competition, with three not sending a representative. The first match of the tournament was played between Uruguayan side Peñarol and Bolivian side Jorge Wilstermann on April 19 in Montevideo, Uruguay. During that game, Ausberto García of Jorge Wilstermann became the first player to move the ball in the tournament setting the motions for what is to become one of the most prestigious competitions in the world. Carlos Borges of Peñarol scored the first goal of the tournament, with teammate and legendary figure Alberto Spencer scoring the first hat-trick. Peñarol would go to become the first South American club champion after defeating the Olimpia in the finals. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the ''Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''". Boca Juniors Femenino is the women's football team of Argentine sports club Boca Juniors. Established in 1990, it has been the leading force in the Campeonato de Fútbol Femenino since the late 1990s, having won 25 editions of the competition, including a five-years streak winning both the Apertura and Clausura championships.
