Samuel P. Walsh
Samuel P. Walsh (January 30, 1902 – June 16, 1961) was an American educator and politician. Born in the town of Oconto, Wisconsin, Walsh taught school. Oconto is a town in Oconto County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,251 at the 2000 census. The City of Oconto is located partially within the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.7 square miles (95.0 km2), of which, 36.3 square miles (94.0 km2) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) of it (1.06%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1,251 people, 454 households, and 365 families residing in the town. The population density was 34.5 people per square mile (13.3/km2). There were 491 housing units at an average density of 13.5 per square mile (5.2/km2). Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
