Samuel James Morris
Samuel James Morris Campbell (3 February 1842 – 12 December 1909), commonly known as Jaime Morris, was an English businessman and engineer. He is best known for being one of the first pioneers of football in Catalonia, playing as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence, such as English Colony of Barcelona Football Team#Barcelona Football Club (1892–94), ''Barcelona Football Club'', in the early 1890s, at the age of 50. As a young man, his adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit led him to settle in the Philippines in 1868, where he contracted the first two of a total of five marriages. Due to work reasons, he moved to Barcelona in 1889 to run two tram companies, becoming one of the most important figures in the Catalan capital. Ronda de Sant Pere is a thoroughfare in central Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, one of the main roads in the lower side of Dreta de l'Eixample, part of the Eixample district. It runs from the ''Arc de Triomf'', in Passeig de Lluís Companys, through Plaça Urquinaona towards Plaça de Catalunya, where the medieval city walls stood before the construction of Eixample. William MacAndrews
William McAndrews (1872 – 1944), sometimes misspelled as William MacAndrews, was a Scottish football pioneer who played as a midfielder for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence such as ''Barcelona Cricket Club'' and ''Barcelona Football Club''. Playing career Born in Scotland, McAndrews moved to Barcelona in the late 1880s due to work reasons, and like so many other Britons who moved to the Catalan capital, he soon joined the ''British Club of Barcelona'' on ''La Rambla dels Capuchins'', where he practiced several sports. Henry Elwes Wood (1865 – 1907) was an English football pioneer who played as a defender for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence such as ''Barcelona Cricket Club'' and ''Barcelona Football Club''. Playing career Wood was born in 1865 as the son of Henry Wood and Isabella Matilda Elwes, who had eight children, six girls and two boys.
