Samuel Firmino de Jesus (born 7 April 1986), known as Samuel () is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Taubaté. Biography Samuel started his career with Ituano, which he was registered as an amateur in 2005 season. He made his Série B debut on 23 April 2005 and scored a goal on 23 August. He also played the last round of the season as last minute substitute, on 10 September, which the team did not advance to the second stage (quarter-final). He signed a professional three-year contract on 28 July 2006. In January 2007, he was signed by Portuguesa on a one-year deal, where he met his namesake forward Samuel. In the 2008 season, at first he left for Comercial de Ribeirão Preto, then União São João (on 1 July) and Paraná (on 5 August). The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B 2005, the second level of the Brazilian National League, was played from April 23 to November 26, 2005. The competition had 22 clubs, of which two were promoted to the Série A and six were relegated to the Série C. In the first round, every team played against each other, much like what happens in the Série A. Differently from the Série A, each team played against the other only once. Thus, each team played 21 games, 11 home and 10 away (or the opposite), for a total of 231 games. The 2009 Recopa Sul-Brasileira was the 3rd staging of this Brazilian football knockout competition. All matches of the competition were played at Estádio Municipal Domenico Paolo Metidieri, Votorantim, São Paulo. Samuel Lopes da Cunha (born 7 February 1984) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for São Raimundo Esporte Clube (PA). Biography Grêmio A youth product of Grêmio, he signed a 3-year contract in August 2004. He played five matches in the 2005 Copa do Brasil for Grêmio.
