Samu Nieminen (born 14 January 1992) is a Finnish footballer A football player or footballer is a sportsperson who plays one of the different types of football. The main types of football are association football, American football, Canadian football, Australian rules football, Gaelic football, rugby le ... who most recently played for Finnish club JJK. He plays as a central defender. Nieminen started playing football at the age of seven in Huhtasuon Kisa. He moved to JJK in 2006. Nieminen signed a first team contract with the JJK in 2009 and made his Veikkausliiga debut on 9 May 2010 against MyPa. In 2012 Nieminen made a breakthrough and was 20 times in starting lineup. He continued as a starting lineup player in next season but the season was disappointment when JJK was last in league. In 2014 Nieminen signed a contract with FK Kruoja and won the silver medal. JJK Jyväskylä (JJK; full name Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi) is a Finnish football club, based in Jyväskylä. JJK plays its home matches at Harjun Stadion. History Early years 1923–1992 Jyväskylän Palloilijat (abbreviated JyP), the predecessor of JJK, was founded in December 1923. In addition to football JyP had also a pesäpallo team and a bandy team. In the JJK's first football match it was defeated 2–3 by Mikkelin Kilpaveikot. In its early years, JyP played football infrequently and usually worked just to make the game of football known in the city.
