Samisoni Fisilau
Samisoni Fisilau (born 29 November 1987) in Tofoa, Tonga is a Tongan Rugby union player. He plays scrum-half for RFU Championship side Jersey Reds. He previously played for the Super Rugby franchise the Hurricanes. Fisilau played 33 matches for Counties Manukau from 2008 to 2011 before shifting north to Northland in 2012. He currently plays for Bay of Plenty. He has international experience as well with the Tonga national rugby union team. On 13 January 2015, Fisilau moves to the UK as he signs for Jersey in the RFU Championship from the 2014–15 season. Samisoni Langi (born 11 June 1993) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and for Wakefield Trinity in the Betfred Super League. Langi previously played for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL, and for the Leigh Centurions and the Catalans Dragonsin the Super League, signing from the Penrith Panthers in June 2017. Samisoni Tikoinasau Speight is a Fijian politician, who held Cabinet office as Minister of State for Public Utilities and Reforms, to which he was appointed after parliamentary election of May 2006. Samisoni Viriviri Nasagavesi (born 25 April 1988) is a Fiji rugby union player. He played for the Fiji sevens team, and in 2014 won the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year award after leading the 2013-14 World Rugby Sevens Series in tries scored. He has signed with the French Top 14 club Montpellier. Early career Viriviri started his career playing in the local 7's competition. He chased a dream borne out of the stories of his grandfather and namesake who was part of the legendary 1977 Fiji XV that beat the British and Irish Lions in Suva. At 19, he broke into the club level for Dratabu in the Nadi Rugby Union club games and later played for Lomaiviti and Suva in 2010 before joining Nadroga. Jimione Samisoni
Jimione (Jimmie) Isimeli Samisoni (died April 2007) was a Fijian physician and academic who served as Dean of the Fiji School of Medicine (FSM). He was the husband of politician Mere Samisoni. Samisoni was educated at Lelean Memorial School, before attending the then Central Medical School. After receiving a fellowship from the World Health Organization, he went on to study at the Otago University where he graduated in 1959 with a Bachelor of Medicine. Later he continued post-graduate studies at the University of Queensland where he graduated with a Masters of Science degree. Whilst studying for his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree, Jimmie Samisoni was also working towards his Doctorate (PhD) which he received in 1973. From the mid to late 1970s, Dr Samisoni worked as a house surgeon in Queensland.
