Sam Lewis (rugby Union, Born 1998)
Sam Lewis (born 27 April 1998) is an English professional rugby union player for Calvisano in Italy's Top10, the top domestic division of rugby union in Italy. His usual positions are either lock or flanker. He has previously played for Leicester Tigers in Premiership Rugby, and on loan with Nottingham and Coventry in the RFU Championship. Career Lewis made his debut for Leicester Tigers on 4 November 2017 in the 2017-18 Anglo-Welsh Cup at Welford Road against Gloucester in a 26-24 win. Lewis signed a new contract with Leicester on 24 January 2018. He was named in the England under 20s squad for the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. He was sent off against Italy in the group stages. In February 2021 it was confirmed that he would join RFU Championship side Coventry ahead of the 2020–21 season on a deal that would see him dual registered with the Tigers. Stafford
Stafford () is a market town and the county town of Staffordshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It lies about north of Wolverhampton, south of Stoke-on-Trent and northwest of Birmingham. The town had a population of 70,145 in the 2021 census, It is the main settlement within the larger borough of Stafford which had a population of 136,837 (2021). Welford Road Stadium
Welford Road (currently known as Mattioli Woods Welford Road for sponsorship reasons) is a rugby union stadium in Leicester, England, and is the home ground of Leicester Tigers. The ground was opened on 10 September 1892, and is located between Aylestone Road and Welford Road on the southern edge of the city centre. The ground was developed in two main periods: either side of the First World War stands were built on both sides, and then between 1995 and 2016 both ends were developed and the north side redeveloped. 2020–21 RFU Championship
The 2020–21 RFU Championship, also known as the 2020–21 Greene King IPA Championship for sponsorship reasons, was the twelfth season of the RFU Championship, the professional second tier of rugby union in England. It featured ten English teams and one from Jersey. The competition was sponsored by Greene King for the eighth successive season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, this season featured a truncated timeframe of just 16 weeks with a later start and fewer rounds. Structure In a change from previous years, the eleven teams played each of the other teams once only, either home or away, to produce a ten-round season. The top two teams played each other in a two-legged play-off, with the winner promoted to the Premiership, if eligible. Due to the cancellation of the National League 1, there was no relegation.
