Saleh Al-Yazidi
Saleh Badr Al-Yazidi ( ar, صالح بدر اليزيدي; born February 10, 1993) is a Qatari football player who plays for Al Ahli as a midfielder. He also plays for Qatar's Olympic and U-20 teams. His family is descended from the sheikhdom ruled by the Yazidi tribe in Lower Yafa, a historic state in what was then known as the British Aden Protectorate (present-day Yemen). He played football for a team in Yemen in his youth years, and was later a student at the acclaimed Aspire Academy in Qatar. Lower Yafa, Lower Yafa'i ( '), or the Sultanate of Lower Yafa ( ar, سلطنة يافع السفلى ''),'' was a state in the British Aden Protectorate. Lower Yafa was ruled by the Al Afifi dynasty and its capital was at Jaar. This former sultanate is now part of the Republic of Yemen. The 2013 AFC U-22 Championship qualification was the qualification tournament for the inaugural edition of the AFC U-22 Asian Cup. The Asian Football Confederation's Pre-Olympic Tournament was the qualifying tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics Football tournament in London. Thirty-five teams entered the qualification, where AFC have three spots for automatic qualifiers and a spot for inter-continental play-off against the fourth representative of the Pre-Olympic Tournament in African zone. The competition commenced in February 2011 and was completed in March 2012. Seeding 35 teams entered for the tournament. The Qatar International Friendship Tournament is an association football competition. In its 10th year, it was held in Doha, Qatar 38 March 2012.
